Calistria is a goddess of many faces and guises, including lust and revenge. She is held in especially high regard by elves, who often identify her moods and attitude with that of their people. A fondness of wasps has earned this vengeful deity the title the Savored Sting; such creatures live on after harming their enemies, a trait to be emulated should one seek to inflict pain on another.
Dogma[edit | edit source]
If you worship Calistria, you consider yourself a free spirit. Though you may be shackled by everyday life, you yearn to break free. Perhaps you seek to avenge yourself for all the petty slights in your day, or your one burning desire is well-earned vengeance on those who have caused you harm. You might be one whose sexual urges run without cease, or your deepest pleasure might lie in seeing the humiliation of your enemies through carefully planned schemes. In other words, your goal as a follower of Calistria is nothing more and nothing less than the freedom to live as you please. You are not evil, nor even amoral; you simply value the individual’s right to satisfaction, in whatever form that takes. You accept that your actions have consequences, and know that life is not fair, nor is it good or evil. It simply is, and you are determined to seize every moment.
Relations[edit | edit source]
Calistria is seen as a desirable partner by a number of other gods, and stories of her trysts can be found in numerous holy texts, including her own. One such tale claims Cayden Cailean's took the Test of the Starstone because of a failed attempt to win the attention of the goddess, who claimed that no mortal could survive her charms. She also has an ongoing feud with Urgathoa, as the two goddesses often vie for the same followers because of their similar portfolios: Calistria represents lust, while Urgathoa champions physical excess of all kinds.
