Eldritch Scion is an Archetype of the Magus class in Pathfinder: Kingmaker.
Description[ | ]
Unlike typical magi, eldritch scions do not study tomes of magic or spend time learning to combine martial and magical skills. Rather, eldritch scions find that their spells and abilities come to them instinctively.

Base Features[ | ]
An eldritch scion gains most of the features of a magus. An eldritch scion uses a modified form of magus spellcasting and the Arcane Pool class feature, and gets access to Improved Spell Combat and Greater Spell Combat at a later level. Instead of a magus's Spell Recall and Improved Spell Recall features, an eldritch scion gains the following features.
Eldritch Scion can not use Spell Combat together with metamagic feats because Spell Combat requires standard action casting spells, but as spontaneous caster (unlike normal Magus), the Eldritch Scion's spells turn into full-round actions when using metamagic. This restriction does not apply when using metamagic rods or the "3 times a day" metamagic from Magus Arcana.
Spellcasting | |
An eldritch scion casts arcane spells drawn from the magus spell list. Eldritch scions are spontaneous casters and do not need to prepare their spells ahead of time. An eldritch scion uses his Charisma score as his spellcasting modifier. An eldritch scion's selection of spells is extremely limited. An eldritch scion begins play knowing all 0-level magus spells and two 1st-level spells of his choice. At each new eldritch scion, he gains one or more new spells from the magus spell list, as indicated on the Spells Known per Level table.

Eldritch Pool |
At 1st level, an eldritch scion gains a reservoir of mystical arcane energy that he can draw upon to fuel his powers and enhance his weapon. This arcane pool has a number of points equal to 1/2 his magus level (minimum 1) + his Charisma modifier. It is otherwise identical to the magus's Arcane Pool feature.

Bloodline |
An eldritch scion gains a sorcerer bloodline. At 3rd level, and every two levels thereafter, an eldritch scion learns an additional spell, derived from her bloodline. These spells are in addition to the number of spells given on new levels. These spells cannot be exchanged for different spells at higher levels. An eldritch scion receives all class features related to their bloodline. The bonus feats from their bloodline are not added to the list of feats available to be chosen as bonus magus feats.
