Fighting Defensively is an ability in Pathfinder: Kingmaker.
Notes[]
- All characters get this ability at level 1.
- Base Dodge AC is 2, increased by:
- +1 from Mobility rank 3
- +1 from Crane Style feat
- +2 from Steel Net feat of Aldori Defender
- +2 from Cautious Fighter feat for Halflings
- Base Attack penalty is -4, the following feats can reduce the penalty, but you gain nothing by going over the cap:
- +2 from Crane Style feat
- +1 from Crane Riposte feat
- +1-2 from Adaptive Tactics feat of Aldori Swordlord
- +2 from Steel Net feat of Aldori Defender
- Extra bonuses:
- +4 Dodge AC from Crane Wing feat

You can choose to take a -4 penalty on melee attack rolls and combat maneuver checks to gain a +2 dodge bonus to your Armor Class. If you have 3 or more ranks in Mobility, you gain a +3 dodge bonus to AC when fighting instead.
