Knife is for stab, pick is for lock.
But what makes a hero? Why, ask Nok-Nok!
Heroes needs muscle, right? Also need brain for plans. Someone with pretty face to charm everyone. And needs leader, heart of the group. I can do all of that!

Nok-Nok is a companion in Pathfinder: Kingmaker. He is chaotic evil goblin rogue (Knife Master).

Biography[]

Little is known about Nok-Nok's childhood, except he was not raised as a normal goblin baby – in a cage. His mother would let him run around, get in adventures, like when he was caught by hill giants and kept as a toy for their kid. Once Nok-Nok returned to the village he found out goblins of the tribe don't like him. They would bite him, stab him, kick him, but mostly knock him on the head with rocks and sticks and boards – that's how he got the name and calloused lumps. Nok-Nok decided to become a great hero then (so he would nok-nok them back).

Nok-Nok is pretty sentient (for a goblin). He believes himself an Ear a Seer of Lamashtu, because he saw the goddess in his dream and found a nest with eggs the next day. For now Lamashtu protects her seer from monsters and goblins alike, and the only harm to Nok-Nok may come from Linzi.

Interactions[]

Nok-Nok is the last companion to recruit in the game. You meet him in the third chapter at the Goblin Village roped to the pole. He will join your party after the battle whether you want this or not. Later he can be found away from the capital square, near the suspicious well.

Camping[]

Camping Special Role
Set Traps: Nok-Nok sets several traps that will protect the camp from monsters, which will spring if an enemy attacks.

Position in court[]

Nok-Nok is the only companion whose talents can not be employed for the greater good of the country.

Role in the party[]

Great damage with sneak attacks, many attacks every round, a lot of crits from his kukris make Nok-Nok possibly the MVP of any melee-focused party. Taking 2 to 12 levels of Vivisectionist (depending on how many advanced rogue talents do you want) may benefit him, but you don't need to fiddle with that, Nok-Nok is perfect as he is. Outside of combat he is the most stealthy guy in the room and is great for any Dexterity-based skill checks. Also he is very good as a backup "skill monkey" due to the highest number of skill ranks per level and a lot of class skills. Finally, his remarks are more hilarious than evil (comparing to Regongar's), making him a great travelling companion.
