Notes
- Can Sanctified Slayer take it at level 8
- Do Warpriest levels count as Fighter levels?
You can only choose weapon you took Weapon Specialization for. That feat is only available to Fighters and Magi, and Magi can only count their level as Fighter level (Fighter Training) since level 10. This makes character level 11 the earliest you can take Point-Blank Master for Magus. Also you'd need to take Weapon Focus before that (a prerequisite for Weapon Specialization). Much more viable alternative is to take this feat as a Ranger/Slayer Combat Style feat when you don't need to meet prerequisites (but still not earlier than level 6).

Strategy[]
Point-Blank Master is a must for solo ranged character, but taking this feat for a typical party with dedicated frontline and backline (archers and casters being backline by definition) hardly worth it. You can take it for ranged Fighters, Rangers, Slayers or Eldritch Archers who supposedly can tank an enemy occasionally, but retreat is almost always a better option. Most of the time you acquire this feat 'just in case', when you have no more useful feats to take.
