You imbue the subject with magical energy that protects it from harm, granting it a +1 resistance bonus on saves.

Applies Resistance (Buff). This cantrip can be useful at the start of the game to boost your saves on hard encounters, but is quickly becomes obsolete once you have enough Cloak of Resistance for your whole party. Paladins have it as level 1 spell, they will hardly get to use it as it's generally a big waste of spell slot.
