Reveal My Destiny is a quest in Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

Journal[]

Enneo, inquisitor of Pharasma, plotted to frame Jaethal for murdering several young elves. We really did kill the elves, but it was in self-defense! Now a large party from Kyonin has arrived to take Jaethal into their custody. It's unlikely that they will agree to return to Kyonin empty-handed!
Meet with the elves in their camp +5760xp 001_TalkToNortellara (2a0c34c1942247d4fac6122cf705f19d)
Some elves, camping not far from the borders of the kingdom, sent us a letter demanding that we hand over Jaethal to them. Whatever decision our leader makes, we should get to the camp and discuss the matter.
Help Jaethal to resolve the situation +5760xp 002_ProtectJaethal (804f043aebadbd6418bbe70fdf4b9bce)
We discovered that the group of elves was led by Nortellara, Jaethal's daughter. She wants to see justice done and punish her mother for all the blood sacrifices and murders. Is there a window left for negotiations? Or is it time to draw our swords?
Decide the fate of Jaethal and her daughter +28800xp 003_DecideFate (1c4ec778d07b94a4a868fe641af76a37)
For better or for worse, we had to fight the elves and defeat them. Nortellara is now in our hands, and her mother has very evil plans for her! The {King/Queen} must make a decision.

A family quarrel is such a delicate thing! Neither Jaethal nor Nortellara were ready to accept a peaceful solution, so the {King/Queen} had to determine their fate once and for all.

Walkthrough[]

Meet with the elves in their camp[]

  • Go to Elven Camp with Jaethal and approach Nortellara at the northeast part of the camp.
  • In the initial dialogue you can:
    1. Pass Diplomacy DC 36 check for 6240xp total, 6 enemies will run away from combat.
    2. "Jaethal revived one of your fellow travelers, who died by the hand of the inquisitor. She can confirm my words to you." - combat
    3. (Chaotic Good) choice begins combat
    4. (Lawful Neutral) choice makes you lose Jaethal and fail the quest. But you get Signet of the Incorruptible from Nortellara.

Help Jaethal to resolve the situation[]

  • If you began the combat then you need to kill all reaming elves on the map.

Decide the fate of Jaethal and her daughter[]

  • Your party will walk up to wounded Nortellara.
  • Several dialogue choices below will depend on your conversations with Jaethal and decisions in her previous quests.
  • Your choices are:
    1. (Neutral Good) - try to convince Jaethal to reject her goddess.
    2. (Neutral Evil) "Life is full of feeling and pleasure, which cannot be tasted by the undead. Take the body of your daughter, Jaethal, and be reunited with your desires."
      • Jaethal get Urgathoa's Blessing (Jaethal gains a bonus equal to her Charisma bonus (if any) on all Reflex and Will saving throws.)
      • This is an Evil Mortal ending.
    3. (Neutral Evil) "Un-life has provided you with new powers, and placed you above the laws of nature. Sacrifice your daughter, as Urgathoa wishes, but remain what you are."
    4. (Neutral) - same as Undead ending choice.
    5. (Lawful Good) - kill Jaethal. You get Signet of the Incorruptible from Nortellara.

(Neutral Good) option[]

  • To convince Jaethal to reject her goddess' will you need to do 3 positive arguments.
  • If you take 3 negative arguments then this part of conversation ends.
  • You can also attack her, result is the same as (Lawful Good) action, but without alignment shift.
  • First you will be presented with the question about her daughter:
    1. "She's your daughter. Don't you have at least an echo of love for her?"
    2. "You surely put much effort into raising your daughter. Were you proud of what she became, or am I wrong? Do you really want to sacrifice all this now?" [Positive +1]
    3. "This is what turned Nortellara against you in the first place. Break this chain of senseless violence before it's too late."
  • Regardless of what you choose, you get the list of following choices, their results depend on what you have told Jaethal before in personal dialogue or previous quests:
Dialogue Positive +1 Negative +1
"Can't you see what has your life has become? Blood is spilled again and again, and every time there's more." "I would like to hear your story." -> "Who did you kill and why?"
  1. (Lawful Good) "I hope you suffered fair punishment for your crimes!"
  2. (Neutral Good) "Did you kill innocent elves for entertainment and pleasure? That's abominable!"
"I would like to hear your story." -> "Who did you kill and why?"
  1. (Neutral) "I am not one to judge you for your past deeds."
  2. (Lawful Evil) "An objective worth pursuing, but it would be better to refrain from secret murder. There are many ways to arrange a death, while keeping within the boundaries of law and decency."
  3. (Neutral Evil) "In the end we all live for ourselves. The lives of others shouldn't outweigh our own."
"Remember the girl at the camp near the Thorn River? She would rather die than become undead. You bear destruction and grief. Those are the 'gifts' you offer. It's what Urgathoa gave to you."
  • (Chaotic Good) "I've made a decision. You should allow the poor girl to die, Jaethal. This is her wish, plus — for some, eternity might not be a gift."
  • (Neutral Evil) "I've made a decision. The girl should not die. Being undead is better than being dead."
"Remember the story of Taneka? You can blame Enneo for what happened to her, but in truth it was her faith in Urgathoa that condemned her, and offered her no comfort in her time of need."
  1. "This ritual is horrible. Its secret should die with Taneka."
    • (Lawful Good) "This is my final word."
  2. Receive the secret of the ritual and:
    • (Chaotic Good) "This woman was a monster in life, and she'll be even worse as an undead. It may seem cruel, but in my opinion, we shouldn't revive her."
Receive the secret of the ritual, and:
  1. (Lawful Neutral) "We've made a deal, Jaethal. Whether you like it or not, its conditions must be fulfilled."
  2. (Chaotic Evil) "Unleash an old, evil undead priestess into the world? Why ever not? Raise her, Jaethal."
"Urgathoa awakened your worst side, Jaethal. But I have seen another side of you — purposeful, stubbornly seeking answers, respectfully speaking of Enneo's dedication, despite the fact that he was your enemy." Meet any of the requirements:
  1. "What's it like to be undead?" -> "Do you regret not being alive anymore?"
    • (Neutral Good) "There's no purpose in living only for yourself. It makes life and un-life equally senseless."
  2. "Regarding this story with Taneka and Enneo..." -> "What can you tell me about Enneo?"
    1. "Enneo had a goal, and he moved towards it with fascinating tenacity. He deserves our respect."
    2. "I do not like Enneo's fanaticism, nor the pointless indulgence of one's whims. There must be another way."
Meet two requirements:
  1. "What's it like to be undead?" -> "Do you regret not being alive anymore?"
    1. (Chaotic Neutral) "A bright life, full of pleasures, is better than un-life, though eternal."
    2. (Chaotic Evil) "You've become powerful, that's all that matters. It's much better than the life of ordinary mortals — and even elves."
  2. "Regarding this story with Taneka and Enneo..." -> "What can you tell me about Enneo?"
    • "You are wrong to be inspired by Enneo's example. He was a fanatic and it led him to his death. Your desire for a carefree life of pleasure — that seems much more sensible."

Cheats to edit save game file:

If you made bad decisions that prevent you from saving Jaethal for Good ending, you can open player.json in your save game file and replace the following codes. You should have only one per argument. Make a hardsave before editing, no guarantees that things won't break. Recommended to edit arguments 1 and 4A, they are supposedly the most safe.
