Strategy[]
This is a very useful feat for any martial class. Ignoring enemy's Dexterity bonus to AC can dramatically increase the chances to hit the enemy and is often the difference between winning and losing an encounter. However, note that you must first hit a shaken enemy's regular AC before subsequent strikes will target the enemy's flatfooted AC until the end of your next turn. Or, at least, it's one of the possible rulings. In
Pathfinder: Kingmaker this ruling is ignored, characters hit flat-footed AC with their first attacks. In
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous this ruling is effective since one of the latest patches.

If you consider default Kingmaker implementation a bug, it was fixed by the community mod. (Last Version bug was seen:2.1.7b) (Kingmaker)
Fixed by Kingmaker Bugfixes mod
Shatter Defenses comes at a cost, though, requiring investment in Dazzling Display, an ability that may be of limited use depending on the character's Persuasion score.
