Walkthrough[]
To begin this quest, you should visit one of the Mysterious Shrines locations. You are addressed by Queen Ravena in a ghost form. She asks you to help her move the columns. If you agree, the quest begins.
The key to the puzzle is the location of the blank spaces in the stones. Each blank space strikes that space as a candidate.
Shrine 1 - NW of Flintrock Grasslands, between Two-Faced Hill and the Desecrated Carn. Plaque states: Farewell, my queen. Death was the best gift we could give you. Column 3 is moveable and the obelisk goes in (row 2, column 3) from the north, according to the map
Shrine 2 - NW of Hemlock Island or NNW of Pitax. Plaque states: Sleep well my queen. Rest in your endless sleep, and let us, the betrayers, have dreams in your stead. Column 5 is moveable and the obelisk goes in (row 3, column 5) from the north, according to the map
Shrine 3 - SW of Wicked Hill or SE of Whiterose Abbey. Plaque states: Time erases the blood spilled here, but our grief lives on, my queen. Column 2 is moveable and the obelisk goes in (row 4, column 2) from the north, according to the map
Shrine 4 - SE of Flintrock Grasslands, along the East Sellen River. Plaque states: You won't forgive us, my queen. Neither will we. Column 1 is moveable and the obelisk goes in (row 1, column 1) from the north, according to the map
Giggling Hill - W of Pitax River Bend. Plaque states: The night is dark, my queen. Dark as your heart. Dark as the despair that consumed our lives when we killed you. Column 4 is moveable and the obelisk goes in (row 5, column 4) from the north, according to the map
After solving all five puzzles, Queen Ravena is summoned. Now you choose how to deal with the mad, vengeful ally of demons as you wish. There are two options: (Lawful Good) to kill her and (Chaotic Evil) to let her go. If you follow the goddess Calistria (goddess of revenge), you get the (Chaotic Neutral) choice to let her go.
Trivia/Hint[]
The story is that of a Queen and her Knights. The correct placement of the stones is akin to the movement of knights on a chess board.
