Notes[]

  • This event takes place upon returning to the capital after completing Mother of Monsters, Witch Hunt, and The Seed of Sorrow quests. After a lengthy discussion with your advisors in the throne room, you will be notified by Kesten Garess that a mob has assembled outside braying for your head.
  • There a multiple ways of dealing with the mob, including violence and alignment-restricted Good/Evil choices. The most lucrative path experience-wise is to do so via Persuasion checks by your main character. However, the experience gained is dependent on the difficulty of said checks, which depends on the choices you have done in prior events.
  • To maximize experience gain (implying you are capable of passing three hard Persuasion checks) do the following:
  • Potion/Spell of Heroism, Potion/Spell Eagle's Splendor, Professor's Hat are quite useful to boost your Persuasion skill.
  • So when the event begins here are your options:
    • Choosing [Good-only] or [Evil-only] choices awards +480xp and you skip on the checks.
    • You can attack the civilians at any point with (Chaotic Evil) option.
    • Passing at least 2 checks awards extra +480xp.
    • Passing at least 1 check awards extra +240xp.
    • Failing or ignoring all checks awards +120xp and results in combat.
