Woljif is a companion in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.

Biography[]

No Honor Among Thieves
As the descendants of demons, tieflings are not the most respected or trusted of Mendev's citizens, to put it mildly. However, a few minutes in conversation with Woljif is enough to see that it isn't prejudice working against this particular tiefling — it is his puddle-deep personality, his membership of one of Mendev's biggest thief gangs, and his chronic inability to stick to anything, even his own principles. Woljif sees {name} purely as a convenient way to solve a few of his problems. At least, for now.

Stolen Moon
Woljif cleared his name and laid the thieflings' accusations of betrayal to rest, emerging unscathed from the ordeal. However, he did in fact conceal some prize loot from his associates — the Moon of the Abyss, an amulet he claims was passed down to him from his grandfather — a demon of some sort. Such attachment to his demonic heritage is highly suspicious. Time will reveal if Woljif was right to risk everything for this trinket of dubious origin.

Crescent of the Abyss
Woljif fled the camp during the gargoyle attack and was found in the lair of Baphomet cultists. Luckily for Woljif, he used his newly acquired influence over the cultists and his magical powers to his own benefit. And yet, the strange changes taking place in the Worldwound seem to frighten him rather than please him.

Dark Moon Rising (Demon Ending)
After so long wondering about his place in the worlds of humans and demons, Woljif discovered the truth in Alushinyrra — he is nothing more than a vessel for the soul lurking within the Moon of the Abyss, waiting for its chance. Of course, Woljif could not simply accept this state of affairs. Inspired by the Commander, he refused to submit to Ygefeles and absorbed the demon's powers, deciding to build a future for himself in the Abyss.

After so long wondering about his place in the worlds of humans and demons, Woljif discovered the truth in Alushinyrra — he is nothing more than a vessel for the soul lurking within the Moon of the Abyss, waiting for its chance. Of course, Woljif could not simply accept this state of affairs. Inspired by the Commander, he refused to submit to Ygefeles and chose a life of freedom in the human world.

In act 2 during the gargoyle attack on the camp, Woljif will flee and leave the party. He will not return until re-recruited in act 3 when the player finds his event on the world map.

Final Personal Quest Reward[]

  • In the Human ending, you are able to fully loot the building the final quest finishes in. Loot includes:
    • Wandering Conman armor (This cloth grants the wearer a +10 competence bonus to Trickery and a +10 competence bonus to Athletics skill checks, as well as +2 bonus to attack rolls for attacks of opportunity.)
    • Saboteur punching dagger (This +4 caustic punching dagger grants its wielder a +10 competence bonus on Trickery skill checks. Whenever the wielder successfully disarms a trap, they get a +4 bonus on damage rolls for 5 minutes. Multiple applications of this effect do not stack, but extend the effect's duration.)
  • Demon ending gives Woljif the Demon Origin feature (By accepting demonic side Woljif gained an outsider subtype, immunity to electricity, poison, cold resistance 10, acid resistance 10, fire resistance 10, a +2 profane bonus to Dexterity and Intelligence ability score, as well as Spell Resistance equal to (11 + his character level)).

Woljif in his Eldritch Scoundrel archetype is a versatile performer able to deal damage and support the party with various buffs and roles.

  • Can easily shift into other int based gish type classes such as Magus and Alchemist as well as shift into pure martial classes like Fighter and Ranger

Cons[]

  • Woljif leaves the party for a duration of time.
  • Being Int based and having 3 levels attached to him already limits his build options.

Once you have completed Stolen Moon quest you will be able to buy items from him by selecting "Show me what you can get using your thiefling connections." line. The new wares in acts add up to his list, not replace it.
